SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -- With the clock winding down to the election next week, candidate Mitt Romney supplemented his TV commercials with a personal town hall appearance in Shelby Township on Tuesday, but prior to that in a one-on-one exchange, he revealed he would take military action against Iran, but only as a last resort. "If we reach a point where all of our other options have failed, where there are no alternatives but a military option, then we will take a military option whether on our own or in supporting a nation like Israel," Romney said. On his second bid for the White House, Romney revealed it was his wife who convinced him to run since he was reluctant. The question that lead in to that disclosure? Does God want you to be president?

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -- In Michigan, presidential candidate Mitt Romney is in a virtual dead heat with candidate Rick Santorum, so Romney was pressing the flesh in Macomb County on Tuesday trying to pull out a win next week. "Let me introduce the comeback kid, Mitt Romney, the next president of the United States of America," said Romney's Michigan co-chairman Bill Schuette as he introduced his candidate. It wasn't long before Romney took on labor union bosses. He claimed that unions do have an important role to play in this country, but those bosses, quite another story.
