A follow-up to MoonFaker: Posing For Portrait. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMuTiziCszU&feature=channel_page amontaiyagala accuses me of deception by not including this (undated*) image in my video. http://eol.jsc.nasa.gov/sseop/images/ISD/lowres/AS11/AS11-40-5903.JPG He claims this is an unprocessed scan of the "original" transparency for AS11-40-5903. *UPDATE: I contacted the JSC to find out when this copy of the image was scanned. "Thank you for your message. Our records indicate that the image was scanned on 3/26/2004" So much for pre-dating The West Australian release. The version from NASA's Space Flight Gallery shows the same heavy fall-off seen when the photo was first released in the August 2nd 1969 printing of The West Australian. http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/apollo/apollo11/html/as11_40_5903.html He challenges me to adjust the NASA Space Flight Gallery pic so that it resembles the JSC scan.
